Design with CEREC CEREC Software

Outstanding restoration proposals and easy operation

Quick and easy designs: CEREC software analyzes the entire image and uses the results to calculate excellent restoration proposals. This allows you to save time and arrive at the last step in the process – production – much more quickly. You benefit from intuitive, clearly arranged, and attractive user navigation.

The initial proposal made by the CEREC software is usually so good that I can go straight to production without any further processing

Dr. Peter Schneider, dentist in Heidelberg

Advantages of the CEREC Software

  • Excellent initial proposals thanks to "Biojaw"

  • Ease of use and intuitive operation

  • Hoher High degree of automation

Outstanding restoration proposals

The absolute highlight of the CEREC software is the unique “Biojaw process”. The software uses a biostatistical procedure to generate a patient-specific initial restoration proposal based on the scanned teeth. In most cases, this proposal can be used to move directly on to the production process.

Easy operation

The clearly structured, intuitive user interface as well as the feedback and help functions make the learning curve flatter and ensure that the CEREC software can be operated effectively from the start.

High degree of automation

The CEREC software automatically detects information such as the type of restoration, the optimum alignment for the insertion axis, and the buccal registration. As a result, you save time and there are less steps necessary to esthetic results.

Virtual articulator

With the articulator function, you determine both the static and the dynamic contact surfaces and achieve correct functional occlusion. The software shows the complete paths of movement. The instruments allow individual intervention to remove early contacts in the occlusion with a mouse click, as well as the adjustment of the jaw joints to the right and left, applying a variety of parameters. The use of a virtual incisal pin also allows the occlusion to be opened, thus ensuring that the occlusion is blocked for complete restorations.

Further features

  • Side panel concept for a clearer and more individual structuring by opening several menus
  • Exchange of restorations between different software versions thanks to .dxd format
  • Auto-update of service packs - You are always using the latest service packs • Support Container Export: All data necessary for problem solution can be sent to the dealer or Sirona Support at the push of a button
  • Automatical saving of the images in the background: Re-scanning is thus possible at any time, and this can also be done without prior storage as .rstimg
  • Intuitive operation thanks to auto-gain. This eliminates the need for manual switching between intra- and extraoral mode
  • Enhanced diagnostics, documentation and patient communication thanks to improved single-image and video mode

The final restoration in just a few steps

  1. Spare your patients the discomfort of a conventional impression tray. Use the CEREC Omnicam, our small powder-free color camera, for precise 3D images in natural color. New: Use the Open Scan Export to easily export your scanned cases as STL files.

  2. Step 2: Design

After analyzing the complete scan, the CEREC software generates outstanding restoration proposals. This takes you to the production stage faster. You benefit from the simple and visually appealing user interface.

  3. The CEREC grinding and milling unit and CEREC software are optimally matched. Milling/grinding the (solid zirconia) restoration design is extremely precise, giving the restorations smooth surfaces and edges and very fine fissures.

  4. Full-contour zirconia restorations are sintered and glazed chairside in the compact CEREC SpeedFire. The induction technology allows unparalleled short sintering and firing times.
