3D Imaging. 2D dose.
Low Dose: CBCT in a 2D image dose range
Indication-based diagnosis using CBCT images in the same dose range as 2D X-ray images is now possible with the Low Dose mode. It‘s optimized pre-filtering preserves dense structures such as bone even at a highly reduced dose, so it can be used easily and efficiently in many specialist fields, for example, orthodontics or implantology.
Your practice will be even more flexible, because depending on the patient case you decide: whether to use your Orthophos SL to obtain high-resolution, focused volumes for the finest of structures (HD), balanced images for general questions (SD), or Low Dose imaging for minimum radiation doses.
Typical low dose indications
More safety for you and your patients
When low dose makes the difference.
While working with children an extra level of caution is of essence. But sometime there will be cases in which 2D imaging just can't supply the necessary information. With the low dose mode now both worlds can be combined: the low dosage level of a Panoramic image to protect the young patient and the information level of a CBCT image for the best treatment.
Even with the best planning and the best treatment, you still want to be absolutely sure your implantation was a complete success. Only a CBCT image can supply the necessary information to be 100% certain, but is the dose worth the added value? With low dose: yes. You can assure your patient that everything went well at the dose level of an intraoral scan.
Sleep apnea therapy
Many dental practices see them every day: patients with all the typical indications of sleep apnea. With low dose you now have the perfect assistance for your sleep apnea treatment with SICAT Air. A low dose 11 x 10 cm will show you exactly the upper airways and where the problem lies, with the click of a button you can then order a SICAT OPTISLEEP therapeutic appliance.
